10295 - Leadership, Learning & Capability Lead

Great British Energy is looking for a Leadership, Learning & Capability Lead to develop the skills, knowledge and leadership capability required to support the organisation's ambitions.

The role will design and deliver learning, leadership and talent initiatives that strengthen organisational capability and help employees reach their full potential. The postholder will play a key role in establishing GBE's organisational capability framework, leadership development programmes, succession planning approach and early careers activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of GBE's organisational capability framework.
  • Design and implement leadership and management development programmes.
  • Develop learning pathways and development opportunities for employees at all levels.
  • Lead the creation of GBE's talent and succession planning approach.
  • Design and coordinate early careers and emerging talent programmes.
  • Identify organisational capability needs through workforce planning and stakeholder engagement, in partnership with the Data, Insights & Org Design Lead
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers, educational institutions and professional bodies.
  • Develop systems and approaches to evaluate learning effectiveness and organisational impact.
  • Support leaders to identify capability gaps and build targeted development plans.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Develop guidance, tools and resources that support career development across GBE.

Person Specification

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Significant experience delivering leadership, learning, talent or organisational development programmes.
  • Experience developing innovative leadership and management capability interventions.
  • Experience designing learning frameworks and development programmes.
  • Understanding of talent management and succession planning principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to evaluate programme effectiveness and demonstrate impact.

Desirable Skills (if required):

  • CIPD, coaching, organisational development or learning qualification.
  • Experience supporting workforce growth and organisational transformation.
  • Experience designing early careers or graduate programmes.
  • Understanding and experience of the use of AI in learning
