10296 - EVP, EDI & Culture Lead

Great British Energy is seeking a EVP, EDI & Culture Lead to help shape the employee experience, culture and working environment that will support the organisation's growth and long-term success.

This role will lead the development and delivery of GBE's Employee Value Proposition, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion activities, employee engagement programmes and culture initiatives. Working across the organisation, the postholder will ensure culture, values and inclusion are embedded throughout the employee lifecycle and reflected in how we work every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and ongoing evolution of GBE's Employee Value Proposition.
  • Design and deliver initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and reinforce GBE's values and culture.
  • Lead the development and implementation of GBE's EDI framework and associated action plans.
  • Monitor and report on diversity, inclusion and engagement metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and manage employee listening activity, including engagement surveys, pulse surveys and focus groups.
  • Analyse employee feedback and translate insight into practical recommendations and actions.
  • Support leaders and managers to embed inclusive behaviours and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Develop communications, guidance and resources that strengthen understanding of GBE's purpose, values and employee experience.
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners to identify emerging good practice and innovative approaches.
  • Support organisational change initiatives by ensuring culture and engagement considerations are embedded throughout.

Person Specification

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Significant experience developing and delivering employee engagement, culture, EVP and/or EDI programmes.
  • Strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles and best practice.
  • Experience designing and analysing employee surveys and engagement activities.
  • Ability to use data and insight to identify priorities and measure impact.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple teams and disciplines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within rapid scale up and/or purpose-led organisations.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting organisational growth or transformation programmes.
